Learn more about me... Leslie Cagle, M.D., has practiced surgery in the Portland/Vancouver area since 1990. Dr. Cagle graduated with honors from the University of Virginia, and then earned an M.S. in Physiology from the University of Texas at Houston. She went on to earn her M.D. degree at the University of Texas and to complete her internship and residency in General Surgery at that program.
Dr. Cagle served as an NIH Surgical Oncology Fellow at the University of California at Los Angeles, and has specialized fellowship training in Surgical Oncology. She also completed a year's advanced training in laparoscopic surgery at The University of Dundee in Dundee, Scotland.
Dr. Cagle and Dr. Paul Dally began a laparoscopic obesity surgery program in 1999. She is active in the American Society for Bariatric Surgery and has taught courses concerning laparoscopic bariatric surgery. Dr. Cagle is a Fellow of the American College of Surgery and has served on the College's Board of Governors.
She has also served on the Board of Directors for Physicians for Social Responsibility and is a member of the Society of American Gastrointestinal and Endoscopic Surgeons. With fellowship training in both Surgical Oncology and Laparoscopic Surgery, Dr. Cagle specializes in all types of laparoscopic surgery and all types of cancer surgery. Her hobbies include kayaking, swimming, and gardening.
