Read more about me...
Having been raised in Europe and the Middle East, Dr. Gabriel settled in western U.S. where he began his higher education. He graduated from the University of Utah with a Bachelor of Science in Chemistry with Honors in 1996. He went on to obtain his M.D. from the University Of Nevada School Of Medicine in 2001. For the past decade, his special interest in research in the areas of wound healing has led him to pursue several research fellowships at renowned academic institutions, including Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in Cleveland and the University Of Nevada Medical School in Las Vegas.

Dr. Gabriel's medical school experience was enriched with several leadership activities, including being class president, organizing fundraisers, serving on several committees and creating a student run homeless clinic which to date is still going strong, serving the indigent population of Reno and Sparks. Dr. Gabriel was recognized by being one of the few medical students in the country to receive the prestigious Humanism in Medicine Award. This lead to the creation of the University of Nevada's Humanism in Medicine Honor Society, of which Dr. Gabriel is still an active member. Dr. Gabriel's interest in research began during his undergraduate studies, where he successfully completed and defended an elective research thesis in organic chemistry, for which he received highest honors. During medical school, he was involved with both clinical and basic science research, earning several research awards and publications prior to graduating.

In 2001, Dr. Gabriel was chosen by the prestigious Loma Linda University to join the Integrated Plastic Surgery Residency Program. While at Loma Linda University, he volunteered on a medical mission to Ethiopia with Operation Good Samaritan. In addition, he served on several leadership committees and was the chief resident prior to completing his residency. Since 1995, Dr. Gabriel has authored over two dozen abstracts and chapters in peer reviewed publications, and is currently conducting clinical studies in the areas of nerve repair, wound healing, and capsular contracture. In 2007, Dr. Gabriel was selected by world renowned plastic surgeon Dr. G. Patrick Maxwell to enter a Breast and Aesthetic Surgery Fellowship in conjunction with Baptist Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

Dr. Gabriel speaks fluent German, Armenian, Persian and English.
